San Diego is one of the leading beer cities of the world. Our neighbor, New English Brewing, approached us about a collaboration. ZUMBAR imperial stout is what was created - taking gold medal at GABF 2015. 

This collaboration was initially brewed for the Great American Beer Festival in 2012.  New English Brewing added ZUMBAR'S El Mundo, a rich blend of Indonesian and Latin American beans, to both the mash and also during fermentation. This addition was of whole bean coffee, along with 2lbs. per barrel of 72% Cacao Belgian Chocolate during secondary fermentation.

The result was a rich imperial Stout at 9.3% ABV, with Nugget hops providing 45 IBUs of pleasant bitterness to balance powerful combinations of malt, ZUMBAR coffee, and chocolate.
