BARISTA

ZUMBAR Coffee & Tea is a fast-paced, quality focused café, run by a passionate and knowledgeable staff. We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our team of professionals.

Our Barista is the anchor of the operation, responsible for carrying out the quality of the craft.  You will be asked to perform the following tasks to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess in-depth knowledge of current coffee offerings and espresso profile

• Have expert menu knowledge

• Prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards

• Calibrate grinders and check doses to ensure consistent espresso extraction

• Keep dishware stocked, spotless, and presentable

• Keep a tidy work station

• Follow health and safety guidelines

• Understand all roles and responsibilities, and ensure smooth cafe operations by quickly learning and following front line protocols while offering insights or assistance to other staff

• Take responsibility for the condition of the café

Qualifications:

• 1+ years barista experience
